Good stuff happens at the edges

I recently went on holiday and fulfilled a long-time dream of exploring the northern edges of Sweden. And of experiencing the Midnight Sun aka the 24-h long days.

No night.

Just light.😎✨

We’ve planned the holidays in details BUT we allowed ourselves to rapidly shift the plan in an instant if the situation required it.

That’s freedom.

The ground and the pilons are stable.

In between there is a lot of jazz and rock ‘n roll. Free-hand paintings. 😃

I LOOOVE bending the edges. And I LOOOVE seeing the end of the roads. 🤷🏻‍♀️

In the wilderness of the Northern Sweden, the roads might get blocked by reindeers at any point, and any warm-blooded being might be the feast for billions of mosquitos and black flies or whatever the name of those small creatures might be (“knott” in Swedish).

I think there is something profoundly magical in seeing the edges.

Sitting there.

The edge between wilderness and asphalt.

Beyond that point, in the northern/northwestern Sweden, there is a territory bigger than some European countries where there are no car-roads. No permanent human settlement. Not even dirt roads.

Pine trees.

Tundra.

Browns and greens and the blues of the sky.

I’ve noticed that the good stuff happens at the edges.

The edge of sunrise.

The edge of sunset.

The edge of a new habit.
